Xaverian Celebrates Mass of Christian Initiation

A joyous celebration of an important moment in the life of our Hawks.

On the evening of May 5, friends and family came together to witness nine Xaverian Hawks of varying ages become members of the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation.

Throughout the year, these nine members of the community prepared to receive the sacraments by participating in monthly classes, using The Catechism as their guiding instruction. As the date of the celebration grew closer, lessons about each part of The Nicene Creed became the group's main focus.

Receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist during Xaverian’s Mass of Christian Intention were Luke Dwyer ’27, Mattheu Lowney ’26, Mason Mills ’26, Lachlan Perdoni ’27, Brett Warren ’28, and Ms. Lauren Hill. Also during this time, Scotty Feeney ’28, Braeden Kelly ’28, and Garrett Minarski ’27 made their Professions of Faith and received their first Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Congratulations to our Hawks for completing the steps necessary to celebrate this milestone in their faith journeys.
