Meet our new Faculty and Staff


Welcome back for another great year at Xaverian!

We’re so excited to see our halls filled with friendly faces again, some new and many familiar. This year, we added 12 faculty and staff members to the Xaverian team. Let’s meet them! 

Kate DelTorchio - Counseling
Ms. Kate DelTorchio joined the Xaverian faculty this school year and serves as an intern in the counseling office. She is currently finishing up her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emmanuel College and will graduate in May 2022.

Ms. DelTorchio is excited to meet the staff, families, and students of the Xaverian community. Fun fact—she has two cats, Oswald and Shamus. 

Andrea Doglioli - World Languages 
Ms. Andrea Doglioli joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to Xaverian, she taught at the Universidad Católica Argentina, Saint Paul School, and Saint John School in Wellesley. She has a bachelor’s degree in business from the Universidad Católica Argentina and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College.

Ms. Doglioli is excited to share her love of language with all students at Xaverian. She is a big soccer fan, her favorite team being the Boca Juniors from Argentina. If Ms. Doglioli had the chance to meet any historical figure, she would love to meet Pope John Paul II. She loves Star Wars movies and spending time with her family and their dog, Maggie. 

Karen Flint - Science 
Mrs. Karen Flint joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Flint holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to Xaverian, she taught high school science at Saint Raphael Academy, where she also served as the moderator for the Archery Club and the Class of 2022.

In her downtime, Mrs. Flint loves to play old school RPG video games and has two cats, Sesame and Winnie. Her favorite book is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas, and in her spare time she enjoys exercising her green thumb. 

Marissa Gelso - Advancement Office Assistant
Mrs. Gelso joined the advancement office in August 2021. She previously worked in the Xaverian admissions office as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Gelso is an alumni parent of the Class of 2019 and 2021. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Simmons College.

Mrs. Gelso loves to read, garden, and travel. She has visited 45 of the 50 states. Being a Xaverian alumni parent, Mrs. Gelso is excited to immerse herself within the community in this new role. 

Alfred Joseph - Computer Science 
Mr. Alfred Joseph joined Xaverian in the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to Xaverian, Mr. Joseph was a computer science teaching assistant for the Microsoft TEALS program. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Mr. Joseph recently got a puppy named Champ. In his spare time, Mr. Joseph likes to exercise. He says if he could meet one historical figure, he would like to meet George Washington. He is very excited to be able to lead a classroom, teaching computer science. 

Kyle MacDonald - Assistant Director of Admissions
Mr. Kyle MacDonald ’10 joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to Xaverian, Mr. MacDonald spent the majority of his professional career in athletics, both at the high school and college levels. He has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University and is currently completing his master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

While not necessarily a fun fact, Mr. MacDonald shared that his 3rd, 4th, and 5th vertebrae are fused together after an accident at the age of 19 which resulted in a broken neck. On a lighter note, Mr. MacDonald’s favorite movie is Patch Adams, although he admits you can’t go wrong with any Robin Williams classic. 

Philippe Mombeleur - Assistant Director of Athletics
Mr. Philippe Mombeleur was appointed Xaverian Brothers High School’s Assistant Director of Athletics in 2021. Prior to Xaverian, Mr. Mombeleur worked at the Walker School, creating and implementing therapeutic social and recreational activities for children with behavioral and emotional challenges. He went on to serve as a physical education teacher at Young World and at Cathedral High School, and also served as the Athletic Director Assistant at Randolph High School. Mr. Mombeleur graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelors of Science specializing in physical education, science/health fitness, and science allied studies. He also completed a Master of Science in athletic administration at Lasell College.
 
Mr. Mombeleur has loved to ski ever since his first time as a child in Austria. While his favorite sport to play is football, his favorite sport to watch is basketball. 

Fabiola Nieto Tapiador - World Languages
Ms. Fabiola Nieto joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2021-2022 school year. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages and Literatures from University of Castilla - La Mancha and a Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from University of Girona. Prior to arriving at Xaverian, Ms. Nieto studied at the Université Stendhal in Grenoble, France. A global citizen, Ms. Nieto has lived in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the United States, where she taught at Albion Collegeand Millis Middle School.

A fun fact about Ms. Nieto — she has been to Paris three times but has never been up the Eiffel Tower. In her spare time, she likes to travel, attend workshops, cook, and read. She is excited about connecting with all of the members of the Xaverian community and learning from them.  

Joshua Peters - Fine Arts
Mr. Peters' joined the Xaverian fine arts faculty in 2021-2022. A native of Sudbury, Mr. Peters spent the last nine years as the Chair of the Art Department at the Pasadena Waldorf School in Altadena, CA. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his Master of Fine Arts from The Mason Gross School of Art at Rutgers University. He will be leading the art and film clubs, as well as the Art National Honor Society.

If Mr. Peters could meet one historical figure, he would like to meet Cleopatra. He has two cats, Ziggy and Nori, and one dog, Finn. Mr. Peters has lived in two major cities, NYC and LA, but never Boston. However, he grew up just 20 miles away from the city! 

Jessica Pink - Science 
Ms. Jessica Pink joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to Xaverian, Ms. Pink taught at Westwood Public Schools and Franklin Public Schools. She has a Bachelor of Science from Bridgewater State University and will receive her Master of Education from Fitchburg State University in December of 2021.

Ms. Pink is excited about becoming a part of the Xaverian community and building relationships with the faculty and staff. When she was in college, she did her senior year research on eels and in her spare time Ms. Pink coaches the JV field hockey team at Dover-Sherborn. She is the Assistant Director of their field hockey club. 

Heather Schnabel - Digital Marketing Coordinator
Ms. Heather Schnabel joined the Xaverian staff as the Digital Marketing Coordinator in 2021. Prior to Xaverian, Ms. Schnabel was a marketing specialist at an arts non-profit in New Haven, CT. She has an undergraduate degree from The University of New Haven in communications with a focus on TV and film, and a master’s degree from Brandeis University in digital marketing and design. 

Ms. Schnabel is brand new to the state of Massachusetts and is excited to learn about the best places to eat in her new town. In her downtime, she loves to be outside as much as possible. You can catch her reading anything written by the author Megan Miranda, and she has an orange cat named Archie who is very photogenic. 

Joseph Tenaglia ’14 - Director of Annual & Leadership Giving
Mr. Joseph Tenaglia ’14 joined the Xaverian staff in the 2021-2022 school year. He has a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Notre Dame. A winner of one of Xaverian’s loyalty and service awards, Mr. Tenaglia most recently worked as a direct service coordinator for My Brother’s Keeper, a non-profit that provides food and furniture for families in need. 

Mr. Tenaglia is excited to be home at Xaverian. Fun fact — during his senior year, he was the morning Voice of the Hawk. When he can, Mr. Tenaglia enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going on walks, reading, playing board games, and building puzzles.
